Come join us in a celebration of life for Carolyn Blake Pruitt. Carolyn passed away at Dallas Regional Medical Center of Mesquite on August 5, 2026.

Graveside services for Carolyn will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Ouachita City Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Monday, at the funeral home in Monroe.

She spent most of her life as a housewife in north Louisiana until she decided to move to the DFW area to be with her girls and be a part of the new great granddaughter’s life.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Hodge; granddaughter, Carol Marie Wilkerson; great-granddaughter, Zoie Lynn Armstrong; and nephew, James Mark Hadley.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeff B. Pruitt; her daughter, Patricia Lynn Wilkerson; grandson, Burchell Wilkerson; mother, Hazel Wall Blake; her father, Dewey W. Blake; sister, Mary Ann Hadley; brothers, Fount Foster, Marion Foster; and sister, Laura Sirignano.
