Charlotte Anne McCall Gannaway

A memorial service to be held on Saturday, February 25th at 12:00 P.M. at Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.

Charlotte Anne McCall Gannaway, (aka Mamou, aka Mama Gannaway, aka Char) passed away on the morning of Friday, February 3, 2023.

Charlotte was known for her dynamic personality, her loyalty, her fashion, her jewelry, and her love of humor and laughter. Her nickname at Parkview Baptist Church was "Bling" to honor her love of pearls, and other shiny jewelry pieces. Her wit was fast. Her hugs were big and sincere. Her cooking was world class southern. Her back scratches were legendary. Her love for her son, Chan, and her husband, Terry Gannway was unshakeable. Her adventure for life and people is what kept her alive these last few years as her body was failing her. She was literally telling jokes and being her sassy self, until the night before she passed away, just 5 days after her 75th birthday. She is and will be one of life's memorable characters.

Mrs. Gannaway was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Gannaway, her father, Jack McCall, her mother, Aldine McCall, Second Mother, Carolyn Zeagler, Brother, Roger McCall, Father-In-Law, Guy Gannaway, Sr., Brother-In-Law, Guy Gannaway, Jr.
