Charlotte Linda Zagone

 A private Family Graveside services for Charlotte Linda Tasson Zagone, 80, of Monroe, LA, will be held  Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, with Rev. William Sikes officiating.

On October 15, 2022, Charlotte Linda Tasson Zagone passed away in her home at the age of 80.

Linda was born to Frank & Jessie Tasson in Alexandria, Louisiana, on October 8th, 1942. She received her B.A., Masters, and plus 30 in Education from Northeast Louisiana University. Linda was an educator for over 40 years and a member of ADK sorority. Throughout her teaching career Linda taught at Berg Jones Lane Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary, Swartz Elementary, & Jesus the Good Shepherd School. Her love of nature and animals led her to become a teacher of science and gifted science. Linda was known to her students for her unique and fun way of teaching. Her classroom was always the gathering place for students to come and visit her array of very interesting and unusual animals from hissing cockroaches and tarantulas to hedgehogs.

Working in her yard and tending to her gardens full of roses and a variety of flowers was Linda’s passion. It gave Linda pure joy to be outside working in her beautiful yard. If you needed to know anything about gardening, you could always rely on her expertise. Linda was also a former member of the Northeast Louisiana Rose Society.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Frank J. Tasson, and her mother, Jessie Juneau Tasson. She is survived by her daughters, Daphne Zagone McGuire and Kimberly Zagone Stroud. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Patrick McGuire and wife Brittany, Mary Katherine McGuire, Lindsay Stroud, Caroline Stroud, and Claire Stroud.
