Funeral services celebrating the life of Cheryl Ann Newman Pike, 71, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Rowland Road Baptist Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Norman Bryant and Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Pike was born on January 28, 1953, in Newellton, LA and passed away suddenly on March 11, 2024. She was the second child of five born to Russell and Ellen Newman.
Cheryl was always the life of the party, a loving wife, an amazing mother (to more than just her own children) and a “Spoiling Gege”. She loved life, her family, but most of all she loved God. She enjoyed her plants, going to estate sales, traveling, going to the casino with her sisters, the beach, and spending time with friends and family. She saw the good in everyone and would help anyone. She never missed any of her children’s or grandchildren’s events – no matter how big or small. We will all sadly miss her, but Joe Howard and Jonmark are elated at her arrival in heaven.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joe Howard Pike; and her first grandchild, Jonmark Miletello.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stacy Pike Rutledge and husband John, Tanya Pike Harkins and husband Shannon, Joe G. Pike and wife Malerie, and Stephanie Paige Smith; grandchildren, Mallory Rutledge Deanda, Trey Rutledge, Grayson Rutledge, Kylie Gwin, Ellen Grace Smith, Kennedy Smith, Chevy Smith, and Brantley Smith; great grandchildren, Miller Deanda and Halee Smith; siblings, Sandra Tarver, Vickie Howard, Rusty Newman, and Mary Cabalero; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Gibbs, Justin Waldrop, Dustin Griggs, Colby Thomas, Jason Perkins, Derek Collins, Josh Fuselier, Ryan Hudson, and Trey Nordman.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until Service Time on Saturday at Rowland Road Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
