Christopher Paul Gallagher, Sr.

Memorial services for Christopher Paul Gallagher, Sr., 64, of Monroe, LA will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday October 4, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA with Deacon Scott Brandle officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until time of service.

Mr. Gallagher died September 24, 2021, at the St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Chris was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA. He attended Northeast Louisiana University, and Arapaho Junior College in Denver, CO. Chris had a very adventurous life, traveling and living all over the United States. He was a barber/cosmetologist by trade. He loved spending time on the lake bass fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred David Gallagher, Sr.; sister, Susan Gail Gallagher; grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Frank P. Rizzo, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Michael V. Gallagher.

Survivors: Son, Paul Gallagher; Daughter, Shara Dawn Greene; Mother and stepfather, Mary Rizzo and Ralph Sewell; Siblings, Alfy Gallagher, Marilyn Lovett (Woody), and Dr. Patrick Gallagher (Shannon); several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
