Funeral services celebrating the life of Cody Lee Blakeney, 39, of Calhoun, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 21st, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately after at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 20th, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Cody was born on December 29th, 1986 and passed away on August 15th, 2026, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Cody lived a life defined by devotion, hard work, and an unwavering belief in the people around him. As the owner of Cutze Builders, alongside his wife Jennifer, Cody poured his heart into building not only beautiful homes but also a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and community. Together, they created several successful businesses, each one shaped by Cody’s vision, grit, and determination to provide a strong future for his family.

Before becoming a respected builder, Cody spent twenty years in the oilfield, where he earned a reputation for reliability, resilience, and leadership. His work ethic was unmatched, and he carried that same drive into every chapter of his life.

Cody was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a true friend whose loyalty ran deep. He coached Team Louisiana Baseball, investing in young athletes with the same passion he brought to everything he did. He believed in second chances, in helping people get started, and in lifting others up. Many found their footing in life because Cody saw their potential long before they saw it in themselves.

An avid outdoorsman, Cody loved hunting, working out, and spending time with his children and family. He had a great sense of humor and a presence that could light up any room. His laughter was contagious, his energy unforgettable, and his kindness unmistakable. Cody was selflessly putting others first, always striving to do more, always pushing himself to be better for the people he loved.

He lived with purpose, with generosity, and with a heart that never stopped giving. Cody’s legacy is built not only in the homes he constructed, but in the lives he touched, the opportunities he created, and the love he poured into his family and friends.

Cody is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willene Blakeney, James Holcomb and Martha Holcomb.

He is survived by his wife of almost sixteen years, Jennifer Blakeney; children, Madisyn Lee Blakeney, Cutter Hayze Lee Blakeney, and Cruze Lee Blakeney; mother, Sharon Blakeney (John); father, Kevin Holcomb (Stacy); siblings, Taylor Wyatt (Justin), Kyle Holcomb and Kailey Holcomb; in-laws, Chuck and Cherrie Tolar; sister-in-law, Ashley Leija (Remigio); and numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Alexander, John Michael Sampognaro, Blake Eppinette, Blake Smith, Clinton Coon, Dusty Meyers, Remigio Leija, and Sean Hammons.

Cody will be remembered as a builder of homes, a builder of people, and a builder of hope. His impact will continue to live on in every life he strengthened, every dream he encouraged, and every person who had the privilege of knowing him.
