Connie was born on February 23, 1937, in Monroe, Louisiana and passed on December 16, 2025, in McKinney, Texas.
Connie was a native and life-long resident of Monroe and a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was well known for putting her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren first – she would do anything to make their day special.
Connie was known for her cooking and hosting holiday gatherings that brought together her entire extended family, often more than 25 people! She always had the meal prepared right on time, with more than enough food for everyone to enjoy and take leftovers home. Her recipes are treasured secrets that will be cherished and lovingly preserved by her family as they continue her Italian legacy. We will always cherish her love for Christmas Hallmark movies, which she delighted in watching throughout the year.
Connie was also a selfless caregiver to both her mother and brother, demonstrating, once again, her deep devotion to family. When she wasn’t cooking or caring for her loved ones, she enjoyed watching sports - especially LSU, the New Orleans Saints, and the Dallas Mavericks - but the games she cherished most were those played by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Even in recent months, she could be found cheering from the stands at soccer, softball, and football games.
Connie will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous heart, and the joy she found in caring for others. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank V. Jungina; parents, Frank P. Ticheli and Sarah Tuminello Ticheli; and her brother, Tony Ticheli.
