Danelle McGee

Funeral services for Mrs. Danelle C. McGee, 61, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 6, 2024, at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Barnes officiating. Interment will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home. 

Danelle was born on March 6, 1963, in Big Spring, TX, and passed away on December 2, 2024, in Monroe. She was a junior high school science teacher for over 33 years in the Ouachita Parish School District. After retiring Danelle decided to go and be a substitute teacher at Sterlington Elementary School. She tutored for several years while working as a science teacher and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Danelle enjoyed traveling, Junking, estate sales and fishing. 

Danelle was preceded in death by her father, B. Dan Crooks. 

Survivors include her husband, James McGee; two sons, Austin Dan McGee (Amanda Rachelle Schorr) and Peyton Dean McGee; step children, Preston McGee (Robin) and their children, Joy McGee, Kirsi McGee and Rosie McGee, and Alison Douglas (James) and their children, Adelle Douglas and Ashlynn Douglas; mother, Lanelle Crooks; two brothers, Kevin Crooks (Carol), and their children, Courtney Remondet (Michael) and Katy Crooks and Bradley Crooks (Maureen); and special friend, Pat Penrose. 

Pallbearers will be Caleb Simms, Kevin Crooks, Bradley Crooks, Peyton McGee, Austin McGee, Tyler Sanders, Michael Remondet, and Hunter Fluitt.

Memorials may be made to Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe.
