Daniel Glenn Smith came into this world kicking and screaming to the union of Donald R. Smith Sr. and Betty P. Smith on December 16, 1963.

Sadly we lost Daniel on November 25, 2025

He is survived by one brother, Donald R. Smith Jr., his wife Brenda now residing in Bastrop Louisiana and one sister Diane Renee Smith, formerly of Monroe and now resides in the magnificent state of California. Danny is also survived by one really great aunt, Judy Cryer and her husband Wayne Cryer.

Danny, (Did anybody ever call him Daniel?) was a great maker of pizzas, then he became great maker of beauty and became a hair stylist, then finally he literally went for broke, he then moved to California to become a great sales associate for a couple of box stores. We would always discuss sales associate’s techniques and he really taught me a thing or 2.

Danny returned a few years ago back to Monroe to take care of his aging parents. In doing so he became a real leader of sorts in managing their affairs and preparing some really good holiday get togethers. Through the years Danny was able to travel and live in such places as Jackson, Mississippi and of course both Southern and Northern California.

A Celebration of life is to be planned at the first of the year so we can get the holidays out of the way.
