Deborah was born on August 8, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia and passed away on September 4, 2026, in Sterlington, LA. Deborah was a realtor with Coldwell Banker Group One Realty. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, a sharpshooter in pool, and was competitive in all she did.

Deborah was a southern belle, a kind-hearted woman who always wanted the best for others. Whether it was family, friends, clients, or any person in need, she would do whatever she could to help. She was an unbelievably hard worker, and at times found it difficult to sit still. Though, she always stayed family-oriented and made sure to have time for family vacations, cruises, and fun outings. She leaves a legacy of living life to the fullest, and never wasting a moment. She is loved by so many and set a gold standard for being a loving wife, mother, daughter, friend, Mimi, and so much more.

She and her husband shared a truly beautiful and special love. They were made for each other and were rarely apart, spending their days side by side and making the most of every moment together. The two of them lived life to the fullest, creating countless memories and cherishing the time they had with one another. Their love and devotion to each other was evident to everyone who knew them, and the life they shared was truly something special.

Deborah is preceded in death by her father Thomas Andrew and by late husband Robert Wayne Elkin.

Survivors include her husband J R Griggs; mother, Doris Andrew; children, Zach Elkin and fiancée Blaise Caldwell, Katelyn Elkin, Alicia Christy and husband Kyle, Thomas Griggs and wife Victory; grandchildren, Skylar and Thomas (TJ) Griggs, Kimber Christy and Mason Kerr.

Pallbearers will be Jason Lindsey, Mark Redmond, Jason Carpenter, Matthew Bhandari, Kaden Trim, and Paul Knight.
