Funeral Services for Lavinia Diana “Diane” Brown, 69, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 18, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Joel Brackett officiating. Interment will follow in Luna Assembly of God church cemetery in West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday. 

Diane was born March 24, 1954, in Monroe, LA, to Charles and Mary Lenard and passed away March 15, 2024, in West Monroe, LA. 

Diane brought light and joy wherever she went. Her love for cooking was evident to all who knew her, and her servant’s heart shown through in every meal she prepared. Diane loved her girls’ trips with her family and cherished every memory made on them. 

Diane dedicated over 20 years of her life working in the school cafeteria, where she touched the lives of countless individuals with her caring and funny personality. Those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with Diane will always remember her as a kind and compassionate soul. The memories she leaves behind will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Vashti Lenard.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Danelle Roach; her sister, Annette Townsend; brothers, Charles “Cooter” Lenard and his wife, Cathy, and Mark Lenard; her granddaughter, Ashlyn Roach; her nephews, Brian Townsend and his wife, Melissa and Keith Townsend; her very special family members, Gay, Geraldine, and Rhonda; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Pallbearers will be Brian and Keith Townsend, Mark Lenard, Cooter Lenard, Harvey Stover, and Harold Lee Fowler. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be The Vacation Girls Group. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Caring Hands Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
