Diane Touzet

Funeral Services for Diane Touzet, 78, of Monroe, LA will begin at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
 
 Diane passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 78 after a cancer diagnosis received four years prior.  She was born in Monroe, LA at St. Francis hospital on December 30, 1945, daughter of Richard Earl and Sarah Louise Sackett.   
 
 She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 55 years, Jeff Touzet, of Monroe, LA; their only son, Scott Touzet and wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Sarah of Poulsbo, WA, and Holden, Irielle, Raeliana, Daniel, and Bethany Touzet, all of Pensacola, FL; brother, Steve Sackett and wife, Lana; nieces, Stacey Thibodeaux and husband, Jean, Julie Allen and husband, Robbie; nephew, Corey Sackett, all of Kenner, LA; and cousins, Vic White and wife, Liz, of Downsville, LA, Victor Sackett and wife, Terrie, of Allison Park, PA, Vicki Carpenter and husband, David, and Susan Sackett, all of Mobile, AL.  
 
 Diane was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother (affectionately called Dee Dee), and friend to so many. While growing up, she traveled throughout the United States and Canada while her father was employed with an engineering firm, making lifelong friends wherever she went.  She graduated from college at Southeastern Louisiana University in Elementary Education.
 
 Being high school sweethearts, Diane and Jeff enjoyed attending their St. Augustine High School's class of 1964 reunions, going to Walt Disney World in Orlando, camping, and traveling together all over the United States.
