Funeral services for Don Kendrick McElroy, 83, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, with Rev. Todd Wooden officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. McElroy was born on June 9, 1942, in Shreveport, LA, and passed away on January 12, 2026. He worked at Simmons Sporting Good as a salesman.

Mr. McElroy was preceded in death by her father, L.D. McElroy; and mother, Oneida McElroy.

Mr. McElroy is survived by his sister, Frances Ann McElroy.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Young, Caleb Coody, Caleb Wallace, Hunter Simmons, Matt Long, and Jeffery Grainger. Honorary pallbearers will be George Young, Preston Johnson, and Jim Brooks.
