Donna Fay Burke

Funeral services celebrating the life of Donna Fay King Burke, 62, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Pete Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Luna Methodist Church Cemetery.

Donna was born on November 13, 1962 in Monroe, LA and passed away on June 6, 2025. She drove a School Bus for 25 years for the Ouachita Parish School Board. The children she drove were her bus babies. Donna also worked as a Waitress at Ole South Diner, were she made many friends serving her customers. One of Donna’s first loves was 4-wheeler riding (mud digging). She also loved music.

Donna is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Moore Taylor; her father, Donald King; and her brother, Ronny King.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Wayne Burke and wife, Kelsey, and Travis Burke; step-father, Jack Taylor; sisters, Kay Morris and Billie Jo Gilbert and husband, Shannon; brother, John King; grandchildren, Rylee Burke, Paisley Burke, Piper Burke, Penny Burke, Porter Burke and Michael Pierce Burke; 13 nieces and nephews; special cousin, Janet Eppinette; special friends, Melissa Burdette and Terry Woods.

Pallbearers will be Anthony (Tony) Valdez, Dakota King, Montana King, Zackery Gilbert, Shannon Gilbert, and Jason Warren.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.
