Dorothy Etna Sweet Pinion

Dorothy Etna Sweet Pinion was born on January 4, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana and at the age of 96, she entered the gates of Heaven on July 12, 2025, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Dorothy was affectionately known as Grandma Dottie or Aunt Dottie to most who knew her. She was the most amazing person and had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel all over the world. She went to many places including Aruba, Africa, and England. Dottie has lived in New Mexico, Montana, Alaska, and Texas but she made her final resting place in West Monroe, Louisiana. She always said she would never come back here but when she did she had no regrets. Dottie wanted her family to know that she loved each of them very much and her last words were, “I wish my son would come give me a hug.” She didn’t cry much and she rarely said sorry, but I know she love you very much.
