Douglas Ray Smith

Graveside services celebrating the life of Mr. Douglas Ray Smith, 94, of Wisner, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Providence Memorial Gardens in Winnsboro, LA with Mr. Plase Cassells officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Douglas Ray Smith was born on January 27, 1931 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away on September 28, 2025 in Winnsboro, LA.  He worked as a T.V. and Radio Repairman from 1956 until 1985 and farmed from 1972 until 1992.  He had many hobbies, but his main one was building musical instruments.  Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, H.C. and Vallie Smith; his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Montgomery Smith; eldest son, Tommy RaySmith; two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Robby Smith and wife, Mary and Chuck Smith and wife, Gail; grandchildren, Brad Smith, Todd Smith and wife, Nicole, Eric Smith, and Erin O'Neal and husband, Jesse; seven great grandchildren, Emma Smith, Claira Smith, Carly Smith, Avery Smith, Jake Smith, Tyler Smith, and Jesse Ray O'Neal (JR); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Todd Smith, and Eric Smith.
