Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie Elaine Eldridge, 77, of Winnsboro will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro, LA with the Dr. Alan Miller and Rev. Jason Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA.
Elaine was a faithful Christian and member of Temple Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years, worked for Temple Baptist Early Education Program, and custodian of Temple Baptist Church. She was born September 19, 1932 in Winnsboro, LA where she resided. She passed from this life at the Franklin Medical Center on August 22, 2009. She is preceded in by husband, John Elton Eldridge.
She is survived by her children; Dianne Sampley –husband Stephen, Shelia Lofton-husband Paul, Gary Eldridge –wife Krista, Susan Eldridge, and Lisa Bass-husband Matthew. She has 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Matthew Sampley, Dow Eldridge, Jeremy Temple, Lee Martin, Jimmy Smith, and Mark Spence. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Eaks, Brandon Martin, and Aaron Moore.
