Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Effie Mae Garsee Anding, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ben Petrella officiating. Interment will be held in the Luna Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Anding was born on May 3, 1939, and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 29, 2026. She enjoyed playing bingo, her casino visits away from home, sitting outside looking at her flowers and watching the hummingbirds. Mrs. Anding loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved her side kicks, her cat, Georgie and her dogs, Marlee and Little Man.

Mrs. Anding is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Anding; mother, May Garsee; father, Joseph Garsee; sisters, Shirley Coates, Connie Barfield; brother, James Garsee; granddaughter, Tashia Moses; and great grandson, Landen Garsee.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Rowland; children, Dennis Garsee, Sr. and wife, Lori, Teresa Anding, Tina Anding and fiancé, Marty, Tony Anding; step-daughters, Becky Loftin and Dina Staggs; grandchildren, Shannon, Jeffrey, Dennis Garsee, Jr., Austin, Amanda, Stephanie, Maeson, Stormy, Tori, Paisley, Remington, Lindsey, AJ and Jacob; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Pepper, Branden Garsee, Dennis Garsee, Jr., Randall Taylor Jr., Maeson Anding, and Anthony Genung.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her nurse. Leslie that took exceptional care of Mrs. Anding.
