Mrs. Eleanor Rosalie Tritle, 95, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at The Columns in West Monroe, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 16, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Tritle was the beloved daughter of Leo Pope and Vivian Pope. She lived a long and devoted life marked by faith, family, and service. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of sixty-four years, Mr. Francis T. Tritle.
She is survived by her loving children, Sheila Tritle‑King, Timothy P. Tritle (wife, Janie Darrow), Mary E. Tritle, and Kathleen I. Willis. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Jesse Lenard (wife, Sarah), Jake Lenard (wife, Melanie), and Molly McCann (husband, Benjamin); and her great‑granddaughter, Elouise Lynn Lenard.
Mrs. Tritle earned an Associate’s Degree from Strayer Business College and went on to serve as a Supervisor at the Social Security Administration headquarters in Baltimore. She was known for her dedication, professionalism, and warm spirit in the workplace.
A woman of many interests, Mrs. Tritle lived her Catholic faith with devotion, embracing daily prayer, volunteer service, and embodying her beliefs through a life of compassion and generosity. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and games, and DIY home projects.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Columns Assisted Living Center for ten years of devoted caregiving, support, and kindness shown to Mrs. Tritle.
A celebration of her life will be held at a future date, allowing family and friends to gather in remembrance and gratitude for her long and beautiful life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or MD Anderson Cancer Center.
