Interment will follow immediately after at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Eva was a cherished charter member of Fair Park Baptist Church, where her faith, her voice, and her joyful spirit became woven into the very heart of the congregation. She sang faithfully in the choir, lifting hymns with a smile that seemed to brighten every corner of the sanctuary. She also devoted many years to teaching Sunday School, sharing God’s love with patience, warmth, and a genuine desire to help others grow in their faith.

A precious mother, Eva’s love for her family was steady and tender. Her beautiful smile was one that could comfort, encourage, or light up a room. She will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Outside of church, Eva worked as a clerk at LPL, where her kindness, reliability, and gentle nature made her a joy to work alongside.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alson and Helen Barnett; her siblings, Helen, Sophie, Alson Jr.; grandson, Doug; and great grandson, Stephen.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Ruth Roberts McCurley (Thomas Joseph) and Anna Marie Barber Poole; son, Kenneth Hal Roberts, Jr.; grandchildren, Joey McCurley, Randy McCurley, Jimmy McCurley, Michael Poole, Jeremy Poole, Wendy Repass, and Charles Roberts; eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; as well as a host of loved ones and friends.

The pallbearers will be all of her beloved grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Mrs. Eva Ruth Barber to the Fair Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
