Graveside services celebrating the life of Frances Anne Newman, 83, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Hasley Cemetery.

She was born on December 1, 1941, in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Frances found joy in life’s simple pleasures and cherished the moments spent doing the things she loved most. She especially enjoyed a good day of fishing, decorating outdoors for the holidays, and attending a good hot air balloon festival. She always had a beloved dog by her side, sharing a special bond with her faithful companion.

Above all, Frances was devoted to her family and faithfully cared for her mother, showing her love through her dedication, compassion, and selflessness. Her faith was also an important part of her life, and she was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Lela Hearne; and sister, Lora Jean Hearne.

Those left to cherish her memory are many cousins and friends.

Frances will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion to her family, and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. The memories she created and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
