Frankie Lou Newton King

Funeral services for Mrs. Frankie Newton King, 91, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 16, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Frankie Lou Newton King of Little Rock, AR formerly of Monroe, LA, born September 12, 1933, to Annie Furgerson Newton and Frank Newton in Tinsman, AR entered rest on July 27, 2025. She was a retired Insurance Agent.

She is survived by her son Daniel King and wife Rene’; two grandsons, Dane King and Derek King and wife Nikki; four great grandchildren, Evan, Luci, Maisy & Lylah King; two step grandsons, Jeremy and wife Carolyn and Jered and wife Brandy Farrell, along with five step-great grandchildren Ethan, Tori, Jayce-McKinley, Payton & Brooklyn Farrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harice D. King; daughter, Janet K. King; grandson, Brandon King; four brothers; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Also, her father and mother-in-law Herman and Beulah King.

Frankie graduated from Tinsman High School where she lettered in basketball. She was an avid bowler most of her adult life. Frankie was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her camp on Lake Claiborne, especially sitting on her porch, enjoying the lake & its surroundings.
