Fred Richard Spillers Jr.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Fred Richard Spillers Jr., will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Special speakers will be Ed Kepper, Carey Underwood, and Randy Wilbanks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Spillers, Sr. and Martha Wilbanks Spillers.

 He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Underwood(Carey), Lorri Weaver, and Renee Tull(Hack).

Fred lived his life on his own terms. He was known for his “old school” thoughts on life and his frank opinion on any subject. Fred’s life was far from perfect but he enjoyed life’s few pleasures such as fishing, music, friends, and family.

He had a heart of gold. He was always willing to help someone in need regardless of what it was. This man truly did not realize how many lives he touched while roaming through his life.

As a heavy equipment operator for most of his life, he thought that if he could get on a piece of equipment, then all was well in his world.

Fred will be laid to rest next to the greatest woman of his life, his mother.
