Funeral services celebrating the life of Gracie Mae Keen Aaron, 89, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Calhoun Church of Christ Church with Rev. Keith Roberts officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
The visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M. until the time of service on Sunday.
Gracie was born on January 22, 1936, in Archibald, Louisiana and entered heaven’s gates on August 8, 2025.
Mrs. Aaron was a wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian woman who instilled her values into her children and loved ones. Gracie was a lifelong Christian whose heart beat in rhythm with the teachings of Christ. For over 30 years, she served as a Sunday School teacher at Jackson Street Church of Christ, where generations of children learned about God’s love through her gentle voice and joyful spirit. She was also a gifted seamstress, working at Selig Manufacturing for more than 25 years. In her later years, Gracie became a devoted member of Calhoun Church of Christ, where she continued to serve with humility and joy.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Billy Aaron; parents, Lee and Jessie Ann Keen; and siblings, Roy Keen, Ernest Keen, Willie Keen, and Johnnie Keen.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sons, Ronnie Aaron and wife, Mary Ann and Randy Aaron and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Nelia Ann Aaron Chapman and husband, Todd; grandchildren, Jennifer Aaron Childs and husband, Chuck, Amanda Aaron, Benjamin Aaron and wife, Tina, Wess Chapman and wife, Whitney, and Luke Chapman; great grandchildren, Kelby and Cole Childs, Ryder Hataway, Emersyn Gracie Satterwhite, Maxton Satterwhite, Emily Gray, Elissa Gray, Lona Kate Aaron, Connor Aaron, Olivia Aaron, Wyatt Chapman, and Walker Chapman; great great granddaughter, Aurora Gray; as well as a host of loved ones and friends.
The pallbearers will be Bejamin Aaron, Wess Chapman, Luke Chapman, Cole Childs, Ryder Hataway, and James Eric Keen.
The honorary pallbearers will be Roger Keen. David Keen, and Tommy Younse.
The family would like to give special thanks to her lifelong friends, Annette McManus and Jackie Stephenson.
