Gracie Faye Stewart McKnight

Funeral service for Mrs. Gracie Faye Stewart McKnight, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Woods Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday, September 19, 2025, at the funeral home.

Mrs. McKnight was a graduate of Bonita High School and following that she attended Northeast Louisiana University College in Monroe. She was devoted to her church, former Faith Baptist and then Forrest Glade for over 50 years, teaching Sunday School, playing the piano/organ and serving as church secretary and clerk. She is now a member of First Baptist Church West Monroe.

Mrs. McKnight was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee McKnight, Jr., to whom she was married 45 years; parents, Guy McCrea Stewart and Stella Johnson Stewart; brother and sister-in-law, Hollis Stewart and Margie Stewart; brother-in-law, Percy Perkins; niece, Manya Porter; and nephew, Randy Porter.

Survivors include her son, Carl Edwin McKnight (Brenda); sister, Claudette Perkins; three grandchildren, Whitney Briana McKnight, Stewart Grant McKnight(Mallory), and Catherine Grace McKnight; great granddaughter, Avery McKnight; two nieces, Karen Stewart and Debbie Rugely; and nephew Ricky Stewart.

Pallbearers will be; Joey Swaggart, Kenny Swaggart, Grant McKnight, Landon Powell,William Adcock, Jeff Glover
