Funeral services for Gus Lee “Bud” Couch, Jr., 69, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home 2308 Sterlington Rd. in Monroe. Mr. Lee Riordan assisted by Pastor Norman Riordan will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe. Bud was born February 19, 1957, and passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 69. Bud graduated from Neville High School in 1975. After high school, he attended NLU where he played baseball and majored in aviation. While at NLU, he met the love of his life Sarina Audirsch. They married September 14, 1978, and celebrated 48 years together this year. Bud was a gifted athlete and avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and especially coaching his boys in baseball. He was a licensed pilot and a friend to many. His dream of moving to the lake was realized in 2019 when he and Sarina retired to Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville where they spent the next 7 years living the “lake life”.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Gus Lee, Sr. and Helen Rushing Couch.

Bud leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Sarina Couch; his sons, Jarrett Couch and Aaron Couch; his brother, Terry Couch and wife Phyllis; his sisters, Becky McKee, Sherry Gregory and husband Don; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Brenda Lee; several nieces and nephews; along with other extended family and friends.
