Mr. Sullivan was born on September 2, 1940, in Cleveland, Mississippi and passed away on July 22, 2025.

Harold Wayne Sullivan, a proud U.S. Army veteran, a founding owner of Peregrine Corporation, and a devoted member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church, passed away leaving behind a legacy defined by service, integrity, and community. His life was a mosaic of dedication to his country, to his passions, and to the people who were fortunate enough to know him.

Born with a steadfast spirit, Harold answered the call to serve in 1959, joining the United States Army and distinguishing himself early in his military career. He attended the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy and was honored as Soldier of the Month and Soldier of the Year in 1960 for the 2nd Battle Group, 4th Infantry recognitions that reflected not just his discipline, but the heart he brought to every task. His unwavering commitment earned him four letters of commendation, affirming what those around him already knew: Harold was someone you could count on.

After his honorable discharge in 1962, Harold returned to Louisiana where he poured his energy into uplifting others. He was a member of the Bayou Desaird Optimist Club, where his optimism and warmth made him a cherished figure. Whether he was mentoring young players or cracking jokes from the dugout, his role on the club’s legendary softball team was both competitive and communal playful, yet purposeful.

Harold’s interests were as expansive as his generosity. He was a proud member of the Louisiana Auctioneers Association, bringing the intensity and charm to the auction floor. As a charter member of the Bleu Bayou HOG Chapter, Harold found joy in the open road, forging deep bonds with fellow riders who shared his love of freedom and camaraderie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Sullivan; and sister, Nan Sullivan

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife of thirty years, Barbara Edwards Sullivan; daughter, Robin Rene’ Murphy and husband, Des; son, Rusty Sullivan and significant other, Leslie Bosworth; stepson, Steve Gentry and wife, Jes; sister, Shirley Sullivan; grandchildren, Miranda Saunders, Sean Murphy, Connor Murphy, and Brendan Murphy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.

The pallbearers will be Elee Trichell, Mike Nicholson, Bobby McNeese, Wallace Hardy, Buddy Embanato, and Don Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Doull, Tom Brock, Dennis Anders, and William D. “Pete” Edwards.

To know Harold was to witness a life rich in humor, humility, and heart. He wasn’t just admired he was loved. Whether standing tall in uniform or surrounded by friends in a softball jersey, Harold Wayne Sullivan exemplified what it means to live with purpose and passion.

His legacy is carried forward by those who served beside him, laughed with him, and rode alongside him. Though he may be gone from our sight, Harold remains etched in the soul of the communities he so deeply touched.

Rest easy, Harold. Your road was well-traveled and your journey well-lived.
