Harry Hill Roberts was born March 2, 1929, in Natchez, MS, the youngest son of Ransom and Bertha Roberts. A native of Franklin parish, Harry spent his early years working on the family farm and with his brothers and sisters.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and served as a reservist and in the LA National Guard. During his career, Harry worked for Texas Gas as a Machinist, Pipeline Foreman and Landman before retiring after 42 years.
He loved the Lord and spent his life serving Him in the Church and community as a Music Minister, Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Harry loved his family and extended family and enjoyed spending time with all. As a “jack of all trades,” he was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was most proud of his grandsons, Mitchell and Blake and the great young men they have become.
On April 2, 2026, the Lord called Harry home to Heaven for eternity. Preceding him in death, his beloved wife, Wanda Sue whom he missed every day; his parents, Bertha May & Ambrose Ransom Roberts and his four brothers who passed before Harry’s birth, Ransom, Grover, Willie, & Jack Edward. He grew up with three brothers and one sister who also have passed away, Harold Roberts and wife Margie, Clara Belle Roberts Boles and husband, Marion, Aubrey Roberts, Sr. and wife, Geneva, Ray Roberts & wife, Marie.
Harry is survived by his son, David Todd Roberts, wife Laura and two grandsons, Mitchell and Blake Roberts; his daughter, Melinda and husband, David Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Northeast LA Veterans Home, with a special acknowledgment for the Wing III staff for their loving kindness and care for our father during the last year of his life. He loved you like family.
