Hazel Lee Lambert, age 88, of Winnsboro, Louisiana, passed away on May 13, 2026. She was born on November 28, 1937.

Hazel was a long-time resident of Winnsboro and devoted over 50 years of service to Legacy Nursing Home, where she touched countless lives with her dedication and compassion.

A faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church, Hazel was a devoted Christian who deeply loved Jesus. She found joy in listening to Jimmy Swaggart and treasured her quiet mornings with a cup of coffee. She also loved traveling to Lake Concordia, where she enjoyed the beauty of the water, nature, and wildlife—often accompanied by her beloved great-grand dogs, Millie and Lillie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three children, Hollis Lambert, Johnny Lambert, and Bobbie (Johnie Sr.) Herman; one grandchild, Terry Herman; and one cherished great-grand dog, Monkey.

Hazel is survived by her grandchildren: Johnie “John Wayne” Herman Jr. (Lacey), Gabriel Herman (Cherished dog Pansy), Aaron Lambert (Dani), Chris Lambert, Tiffany Absire, Greg Lambert, and Geoffery Lambert; two daughters-in-law; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will fondly remember her life and legacy.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at New Winnsboro Cemetery, located at 2055 LA-865, Winnsboro, Louisiana 71295.

Hazel will be remembered for her strong faith, loving heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.
