IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen
Parker
January 18, 1948 – December 28, 2025
Mrs. Helen Lois Parker, age 77, of Monroe, Louisiana, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on December 28, 2025, in West Monroe, Louisiana. Born on January 18, 1948, in Poplarville, Mississippi.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home on Sterlington Road in Monroe, with Rev. Rick McAdams officiating. Visitation will be open from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville.
Helen dedicated more than 45 years to ministry alongside her husband, Reverend John Parker. Her faith guided every part of her life, and she touched countless hearts through her kindness, quiet strength, and servant’s heart. A gifted pianist, Helen used her musical talents to glorify God and bring joy to others, providing a beautiful and meaningful backdrop to worship.
Family was Helen’s greatest joy. As a devoted mother, she instilled faith, integrity, and love in her children. Her home was always open, welcoming family and friends to gather for meals, laughter, and fellowship. She lived with a deep sense of gratitude for God’s blessings. Her favorite role, however, was being a grandmother. She found immense joy in loving and encouraging her grandchildren, celebrating each milestone and supporting their spiritual growth.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Eva Keith, her brother, Frank Keith, and sister, Gladys Hall. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, John Parker; children, Karen Parker Longino, John Parker and wife Marci, Amanda Lowe and husband Wade, and Brad Parker and wife Leslie.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Matt Parker and wife Emilie, Tori Day and husband Adam, Katie Gordy and husband Waylon, Seth Lowe, Jay Parker and wife Mackenzie, Lexi Parker, Dylan Lowe, and Ava Parker; as well as her great-grandchildren, Rylie Gordy and Brooks Parker, and her family continues to grow. Helen is survived by her brother, Bobby Keith and wife Janet. She also has many nieces and nephews that love her dearly.
Helen’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers, honoring her legacy of faith, love, and devotion. Her life of service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
