James Ralph Allen, Jr.

A celebration of life for James Ralph Allen, Jr., 75, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Living Way Church in West Monroe, with his cousin, Bentley Curry officiating. The visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Mr. Allen was born on May 1, 1948, and passed away on February 24, 2024. He retired from many adventures such as working for Howard Brothers, growing roses alongside his friend, Gene King, at AGM Roses, and spent many years at Sunbelt/Berry Plastics before his retirement.

A sycamore tree is a symbol of strength, protection, reliability, and clarity. Jim loved his trees, and he loved his family. He always had strength, he protected his family, he was reliable and always made it clear that his family was number one in his life. We will miss you on this side of the Earth Pappaw. Enjoy all your sycamore trees and your M.G & the Booker T’s in Heaven. With love from your family

He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Allen, Sr. and Gladys Mae Curry Allen; brothers, Jackie Allen and Bobby Allen; and sister, Annette.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-four years, Martha; his furry companion, Axle; sons, Matt Allen(Janie), Rodney Allen(Cindy); daughter, Amanda(Brad); grandchildren and great grandchildren, Tyler, Linsay, Rylee, Remington, Roman, Seth, Sarah, Rori-Jean, Kimber, Tate, Shelbey, Spencer, Cheyenne, Brody, Brayden, Anna, Eddie, Ella, and Emma Underwood, William, Jordan, Evie, Emma, and Madison Sanders. Madison and Avery Young, and Curt Parker. Numerous cousins and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
