Janet M. Price

A graveside service for Mrs. Janet M. Price, 77, of Carriere, MS, formerly of Calhoun, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 5, 2024, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Brian Rogers officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. 

Janet was born on September 11, 1946, in Watsonville, CA, and passed away on June 30, 2024, in Slidell, LA. She was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe. 

Jan was a very outgoing person that made friends wherever she went. She was as beautiful inside as out and was a true believer in Jesus Christ. She had a very strong personality but always showed care and compassion in her work as an X-Ray Technician for over 30 years. Her family was a priority in her life on a daily basis. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Louis, throughout the United States, particularly the national parks out west. Several years were spent enjoying trips on the back of a Harley Davidson with Louis. She is loved and cherished by many people.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, James Kelly Hawsey; mother, Dorothy and Bobby Marlatt; and stepson, Christopher Lee Price. 

Survivors include her husband, Louis Price; daughters, Christi Farrar (Kendall) and Nacole Hudson (Brandon); stepdaughter, Michelle Vanderklis (Benny); sisters, Denise Rossi, Beverlee Smith, and B. J. Marlatt; grandchildren, Emily Golden, Sydney Key, Luke Farrar, Natalie Farrar, Madison King, Zachary Tranchina, and Shayne Tranchina; four great grandchildren with the 5th on the way.
