Funeral services celebrating the life of Arah Jean Lee, 89, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 6, 2025 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Mrs. Lee was born on September 15, 1935 and passed away on June 1, 2025, in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Mrs. Lee was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted herself to her family and her faith. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe where she directed the Children’s Choir, was a church hostess, sang in the choir, and started the group Heart to Home. She also attended the Trenton Society and Bobashela’s Book Club. She loved all things music and sang beautifully. She was a patron of The Monroe Symphony and Strauss Theatre. Jean was also a member of the Music Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her special friends and talking with them while working at the Trenton House. Jean will leave behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Odie B. Lee, Jr.; and parents, Chester Oliver and Arah Smith Boyd.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Beckie McQueen and husband, John; and Patti Gaskin and husband, George; and son, Steve Lee and wife, Denise; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
The pallbearers will be George Gaskin, Kyle Townsend, Drew Townsend, Zach Lee, John McQueen, Trent Forshag, and Jack Frith.
