Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Jerry Young Hall, 89, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Dr. Jim Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Jerry Hall, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Born on May 14th, 1937, in Monroe, Louisiana, Jerry grew up as the middle of three girls and was always a true daddy’s girl. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School, where she was chosen “Most Beautiful,” a fitting reflection of the charm and grace that remained a part of her throughout her life. She was a faithful member of Ridge Ave. Baptist Church.

On June 1st, 1956, Jerry married the love of her life and began a beautiful journey centered around family. Her family was always at the heart of everything she did. She cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and shared a special closeness with her in-laws and her sisters’ spouses. She had a gift for making everyone feel loved, valued, and welcomed, and her greatest joy was simply being surrounded by the people she loved.

Jerry had a special fondness for the color pink, which she beautifully incorporated throughout her home. Her greatest pride in the garden, however, was her beautiful pink azaleas. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and especially anything featuring John Wayne and the movie stars she admired.

Christmas was Jerry’s favorite time of year. She had a wonderful way of making the season magical and meaningful, creating traditions and memories that her family will carry in their hearts for generations.

Jerry also took great pride in caring for Freddie and making sure he was always well cared for. Looking after those she loved was not simply something she did, it was an expression of who she was.

Jerry’s life was beautifully defined by love: love for her family, love for her home, and love for the simple moments that made life special. Her kindness, grace, devotion, and warm spirit will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Mrs. Hall is preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Daisy McKenzie Young; and sisters, Lovie and Daisy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Freddie Hall; son, Steve Hall and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Rachel Parker (Mark), and Joshua Hall (Dorothy); great grandchildren, Raegan Cooper, Cameron Butler, and Isaiah Butler (Kyla); and great great granddaughter, Elena Marie Butler.

Pallbearers will be Tim Bennett, Gage Hollingworth, Dan Lockwood, Josh Hall, Cameron Butler, and Isaiah Butler. Honorary Pallbearers the Deacons of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church

Jerry leaves behind a lifetime of love, family, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
