Jerry Wayne Hollis, 75, of Rayville, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2026, in Dublin, Ireland, while enjoying a trip-of-a-lifetime vacation through Ireland and Scotland. A lifelong resident of Rayville, Jerry was born on November 9, 1950. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and a deeply respected and beloved member of the Northeast Louisiana community.

Jerry was a third-generation jeweler and the proud owner of Hollis & Company Jewelers. Since 1979, he devoted his heart and countless hours to the family business, carefully hand-selecting each stone and collection item with an exceptional eye for quality and beauty. To Jerry, every person who walked through the doors of Hollis & Company was more than a customer—they were family. He cherished the relationships he built over the years and took great pride in helping make life’s most meaningful moments even more special.

Beyond his devotion to his work, Jerry had a genuine passion for antiques and an appreciation for the stories and history they carried. Yet, above all his accomplishments and interests, Jerry treasured the simple things in life—time spent with his beloved family and lifelong friends. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his loyalty, his genuine interest in others, and the countless ways he made people feel valued and loved.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Max Russell and Verna Fay Tucker Hollis; his paternal grandparents, Robert Marlin Hollis, Beulah Autry Hollis, and Katie Rea Hollis; his maternal grandparents, William Arthur and Lida Mae Calloway Tucker; his brother, Russell Hollis; and his best buddy, his beloved dog, Baby.

Jerry leaves behind a loving family and many cherished friends who will carry his memory and rich legacy in their hearts. He is survived by his son, Cory Calloway Hollis and his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Cam Hollis, Ian Hollis, Ellie Caroline Hollis, Hannah Crye and her daughter, Everleigh, Austin Mullican, and Blaine Mullican; his daughter, Callie Clark Hollis; and his son, Bridwell James Hollis, and his children, Reed and Hadley Jane.

He is also survived by his sister, Bulah Hollis Darnell of Clinton, Arkansas; his aunts and uncles, Vonnie Tucker Hare of Swartz, Louisiana; Victor Hollis and his wife, Mickey, of Choudrant; and Mary Jane Garman of West Monroe; special cousins, Elizabeth Ann Hollis and her granddaughter, Elaina; W.A. Tucker; Karen Tucker King; and Deb Tucker Bennett; and special lifelong friends, Don and Paula Cumpton.

Jerry was blessed to have Lisa Saulsbury Folds, his extraordinary office manager, loyal confidante, and right hand, by his side. Her unmatched dedication, unwavering loyalty, and brilliant support were a constant blessing to Jerry and to Hollis & Company Jewelers. He also leaves behind his cherished work family—the employees and staff of Hollis & Company Jewelers, whom Jerry loved and respected as an extension of his own family.

He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends who were all a meaningful part of his life.

Jerry's life will be celebrated at his home at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Rayville Methodist Church, 905 Louisa Street, Rayville, Louisiana, with funeral services to follow at 10:00 A.M. at the church.

Jerry leaves behind more than a successful family business and a lifetime of accomplishments. He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, generosity, and devotion to the people who mattered most to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, employees, and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
