Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Edward Ivy, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at New Light Baptist Church in Monroe, with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Interment will follow at New Light Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.

Mr. Ivy was born on April 26, 1940, and passed away on December 19, 2025, at his home in Monroe, LA. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Monroe.

Jerry was a jack of all trades, starting his career as a Marine at the young age of 17, then went on to work for Longview Construction, Ouachita Energy, Waste Management, was an over the road truck driver, then retired from Cesco at the age of 75, to spend time with his wife, family, and beloved dog, Duke. Throughout his busy career, he still found time to coach his son, Mark, in little league baseball. Throughout the many years, Jerry remained a loyal Saints fan, quietly rooting for the win.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Woodford Ivy; mother, Lucy Irene Lowery; brother, James Winfred Ivy; and sisters, Margie Creighton, Irene Anderson, and Lucy Mae Spalding.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Judith Ivy; son, Mark Ivy and wife Meg Ivy; daughter, Cassandra Ivy and partner Steve Millican; grandson, Craig Just, Jr. and wife Raquel Castillo; granddaughter, Krista Ivy; grandsons, Cole and Hayden Ivy; step grandchildren, Stephen Millican and Christina Millican; step great granddaughter, Macy Millican; and his loving canine companion, Duke.

Pallbearers will be Hayden Ivy, Keith Hogard, Kevin Hogard, Kreig Hogard, Bobby Stanley, and Jack Ramey. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Trichell and Marvin Trichell.
