Survivors include his sons, Jerry Lynn Cummins, Jr. of West Monroe, LA, William A. Cummins and wife Lorren of Crowville, LA, and John Welch and wife Elizabeth of Vicksburg, MS; his siblings, William Sunny Cummins of Vicksburg, MS, Lee Cummins and wife Kim of Bastrop, LA, Douglas Cummins and wife Jackie of Chatham, LA, and Barbara Plumley and husband Benny of Swartz, LA; the mother of his children, Fran Harkey of Vicksburg, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
