Jo Ann Smith Gable

Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Ann Smith Gable, 76, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, with Rev. Cody Albritton officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Gable was born on June 30, 1949, in Monroe, LA, and passed away on September 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gable’s greatest joys were spending time with family, being with her granddaughter, Audrey, and gardening.

Mrs. Gable was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson and Willie Anne Smith; and brothers, Douglas and Jerry Smith.

Mrs. Gable is survived by her husband, Kenneth Gable; daughter, Kelly Gable; son, Andy Gable and his wife Ashley; granddaughter, Audrey Gable; siblings, Stanley Smith and Terri Wilson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Judd Smith, Rhett Gable, Winston Gable, Rickey Hickman, Danny Daniel, and Brian Gilley. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Smith and Walter Trisler.
