Larry Walters was a man of integrity who loved God, loved his family, loved his friends, loved his pastor, and loved his church. Larry always had a smile and a kind word ready for anyone who would take the time to visit with him. When you talked to Larry, you ended up being the one to walk away encouraged. In conversation with Larry, you would find that he was well-learned and that he was strong in his faith in God. Larry read his Bible faithfully. He recognized that reading the Bible was the best way to know the mind of God and the wisdom of God for every day of life. He enjoyed listening to and singing songs that exalted God. He recognized that God inhabits praise. The presence of God in everyday life, brings a peace that fills your heart and mind. Larry had some challenging circumstances with his health; however, he rose to the occasion. He chose Joy and Hope every day of his life. He recognized that challenging times presented an opportunity to trust God. He knew firsthand that man’s days are few and full of trouble, but in every circumstance, the Lord was with him through it all. Jesus is a friend who knows our needs and He is a great provider. Larry had a champion in his corner with his wife, Gay. Together, they lived, they loved, and they built a loving home for their family. Gay Walters, his loving wife, stood firmly by his side. As a beautiful Proverbs 31 woman, she is strong, courageous, and powerful, and she is committed to her love for God and always love for her husband. When you have the privilege of knowing these precious people, you recognize their strong faith, their extraordinary gift of hospitality, and the courage of two people facing life and making their life grand. His children can find strength in the words of wisdom that Larry has shared with them. Larry will be truly missed by all who loved him.
