A celebration of life for Jordan Michael Sellar, 36, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 9, 2026, at First Methodist Church West Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Chris Winterman officiating.

Jordan Sellar, born March 20, 1989, in West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. From his earliest days, Jordan was entertaining, full of life, and effortlessly fun‑loving. He was a bright spirit who brought joy to everyone around him. He carried that same lightheartedness into adulthood, where his humor became one of the many ways he connected deeply with others.

Jordan was a graduate of West Monroe High School and Delta Community College with a degree in Process Technology. He was a Christian with a heart for God and a long‑time member of First Methodist Church in West Monroe.

Jordan’s life was defined by generosity, sharp wit, and an unwavering love for the people around him. Sports were a constant throughout his childhood and teenage years. A devoted LSU Tigers fan, he treasured cheering on the Tigers with friends and attending games with his brother. He also found joy on the golf course from his shining moment of holing out a fairway wood at East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport for an albatross 2 on a par 5, to becoming a Louisiana Amateur Champion and winning various club championships across the state at a young age. He competed on his high school golf team and cherished the countless rounds played with family and friends.

His loyalty, warmth, and easygoing nature made him someone others naturally gravitated toward. Jordan had a gift for making ordinary days brighter, and his generous heart will be remembered by all who knew him. He also had a deep love for the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing with family and friends. His passion for hunting took him on many out‑of‑state trips with his grandfather, brother, and uncle to pursue pheasant. These were adventures he cherished.

Jordan was a skilled industrial electrician that enjoyed his work and respected those he worked with throughout his career. His profession carried him all across the country. In true Jordan fashion, he made friends in every place he went, many of those relationships allowing him to grow in his trade. Jordan was a networker both socially and professionally. He had friends and colleagues all cross the country that he stayed in contact with regularly. Jordan’s network was coast to coast, and he will be missed across the U.S.A.

Above all else, Jordan loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Johnette Mitchell Mintz, and husband, Steve; his brother, Jarrod Sellar, and wife, Meghan; and his niece, Caroline Sellar. He is also survived by his beloved grandmother, Mary Sue Mitchell; his uncle, Jay Mitchell, and wife, Staci; his aunt, Caroline Lewis, and husband, John; and his cousins, Mary Allison Mitchell Hopper and husband, Sam; Elaina Mitchell Fischer and husband, Ryan; Jasmine Lewis; and Jodie Lewis, along with many other cousins, relatives, and cherished friends who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael McDonald Sellar; his maternal grandfather, Johnny Mitchell; and his paternal grandparents, Audrey McCulloch and Sandy Sellar.

Jordan’s presence, humor, and kindness leave a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the stories, laughter, and love he shared so freely.
