Graveside services celebrating the life of Joyce Alleman Hummel, of Downsville, Louisiana will be held at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at St. Paschals Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Joyce was born on October 29, 1942, in Donaldsonville, Louisiana and passed away on July 17th, 2026, in Monroe, Louisiana.

A true daddy’s girl in her youth, she carried that same deep loyalty into adulthood, dedicating her days to her family. A beloved wife, mother, sister, homemaker, and friend. She found comfort in tending her plants, savoring cold winter days, watching old westerns, and enjoying a good hamburger. 

Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Gary Alan Hummel; parents, Thear Jean and Patricia Bonadona Alleman; and brother, Terrell Jean Alleman.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are daughters, Sheron Derrick Lenard and husband, Charlie and Jill Hummel Staugaard and husband, Andrew; son, Wesley Alan Hummel, Sr.; grandchildren, Aaron Lenard, Wesley Alan Hummel, Jr., Kaitlyn Virgina Hummel, Christian Staugaard, and Axel Staugaard; sister, Virginia Alleman Hebert and husband, Rudy; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends
