Judy Lynn Oglesby Mock was born April 1, 1946, in Winnsboro, Louisiana and passed away on March 20, 2024.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Mock, two sons, Charles Mock, Jr. and his wife Monica and their kids, Charlye and Adam, and Donny Mock and his wife Michelle and their kids Jack and Abby, and two sisters, Jeannette Coburn and her husband, Harold and Jan Bass and close family friend, Linda Watson. She has several nieces and nephews, Lynn Simon and her daughters, Courtney and Kristen, Debra Mock, and Larry Mock and Great Nephew, Dylan Graham.
She is preceded in death by her parents, T.C. Oglesby and Mattie Belle Oglesby Paine and her nephew, Michael Graham.
She loved her time on the bayou; feeding the squirrels and tending to her flowers. She loved all things yellow, listening to wind chimes by the water, butterflies and the birds, but above all, she loved sitting outside on the porch and drinking a cold Coke.
She was a homemaker who took great pride in her home, always making sure everyone was fed and welcome. She loved all three of her “boys” and opened her home to countless friends, family, and neighborhood kids through the years. Later in life, her pride and joy became her grandkids. Her greatest love was having everyone at home together.
Thank you to all of the workers at Elara Healthcare, Ida Manning, and Deborah Dawkins for helping care for the family during this time.
The visitation will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Saturday, March 23rd at 10:00 am with funeral services immediately following.
Honorary pallbearers are the Barak Shrine Camel Riders.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
