Funeral services for Mrs. Karen Lynn Crain, 52, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Pastor Phillip Boatright officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the funeral home.

Karen was born on October 5, 1973, in Monroe, LA, and passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 6, 2026, in Monroe. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church, where she served on many ministries, and also enjoyed being at the ballpark to support Swinging for Eternity.

Karen was a devoted wife, mom, daughter, aunt, and friend but her favorite role was that of Nonnie. Adalyn and Audrey were her pride and joy. She was not only Nonnie to them, but to so many other children, as well. She was the most selfless and thoughtful person you would ever meet, especially extremely giving of her time. She was intentional about showing up for those she loved and always willing to lend a helping hand. Karen was a giver in every sense of the word and never expected anything in return.

She loved her times with her husband randomly going to the zoo and spending time with her children and grandchildren. It didn’t matter what they were doing as long as they were all together. She was a proud wife, a proud mother, and a proud Nonnie. Her family was everything to her and she was sure to let them know it. She also enjoyed every moment with her best friend eating lunch and running errands, her entire Granny Squad, going on cruises, Pokeno nights, Mexican food, water with NO lemon, and all-around fellowship. Most importantly, she loved Jesus Christ. She was sure to let anybody and everybody know that. Her faith during the last year of her life never wavered and that alone made an impact on every person she came in contact with.

Karen was preceded in death by her, father, J. W. Morrison; her bonus father, Philip Rightsell; brother, Ryan Morrison; aunt, Ann Walker; and uncle, Randy Walker.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Billy Crain; daughters, Heather Coleman (Josh) and Abby Cash (Haley); son, Joseph Crain (Sammy); mother, Linda Rightsell; granddaughters, Adalyn Coleman and Audrey Coleman; brothers, Jamey Morrison, Tim Rightsell, and Chris Rightsell; very special friend, Gayle Lowrey; and her beloved cat, Pete.

Pallbearers will be Josh Coleman, Sammy Ruiz, Kevin Lowrey, Jody Philley, Tim Rightsell, and Bo Crain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Hightower, Jim Ellingburg, Randy Boyer, Chris Rightsell, Jamey Morrison, Clint Oliveaux, Tony Freeman, and Austin Durbyn.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Ochsner Health Center - O’Neal in Baton Rouge, LA, St. Joseph Hospice, and to everyone at New Friendship Baptist Church.
