Karen Hillhouse

Memorial services for Karen Ann Hillhouse, 67, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Officer Chris Fulmer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the funeral home in Monroe.

Miss Hillhouse was born on August 8, 1957, in Monroe, LA, and passed away on August 6, 2025, at her home. She retired from the Monroe Police Department, as a Captain, after 28 years of dedicated service. She loved her cats and riding in helicopters. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises in our country as well as around the world where she had many friends in several countries. Miss Hillhouse was also an extravagant gift giver.

Miss Hillhouse was preceded in death by her parents, James and Evelyn Hillhouse.

Survivors include her brother, James Lee Hillhouse; and her friends, Shonie Bass, Billy Wayne Kemp, Mac and Lisa Anderson, and Debbie Boyter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society for Cats.
