Kathleen Vanessa Louise Troutman Nelson

Kathleen Vanessa Louise Troutman Nelson was born on July 26, 1957, in Jamestown, New York, and passed away on July 12, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Marie Risley; stepfather, Ronald Risley; and sister, Geraldine Lindell.

Kathleen worked at Walmart for fifteen years and was a homemaker who loved crafting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of forty-nine years, John A. Nelson, Jr.; daughters, Tina Basey (Derrick) and Katrina Joseph (Frankie); son, John Nelson (Jamie); grandchildren, Hailey, Daimon, Meghanne, Taylor, Arrhianna, Caitlin, Nicholas, Stormy, Rainey, and Madilyn; eight great grandchildren with two more on the way; and brother, “Skipper” Troutman.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
