Katie Lou Allen Blakeney

Funeral services celebrating the life of Katie Lou Allen Blakeney, 87, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 6, 2025, Watson Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Eubanks and Rev. Bob Holloway officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Luna Methodist Cemetery for immediate family under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.

The visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Mrs. Katie was born on March 11, 1938, in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on October 3, 2025. She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennett Wilson Allen, Sr. and Katie Allen, brothers, Matt, Henry Dale, Huey, Chelcia, Richard, B.W. Jr. sisters, Marteal, Jo, Mary, and Charlotte.

Survivors include her husband, Homer Blakeney; children, Cindy Horton (Eddie), Alan Blakeney (Rebecca), Joey Blakeney (Lori); grandchildren, Luke Blakeney (Kristina), Julia Blakeney and Hannah Blakeney; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Harper Blakeney; sister, Pat Hare; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Luke Blakeney, Jackson Blakeney, Guy Owens, Steve Owens, Kaleb Allen, Tim Mock, David Whitlock, Brad Weems and Jimmy Denning.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men from Watson Chapel Church.
