Kelly Lyn Accardo was born on June 16, 1970, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Sidney Phillip Accardo, Sr. and Agnes Irene Weed Accardo and passed away on March 3, 2026.
Kelly was a graduate of St. Frederick High School in Monroe. She was incredibly talented and had a true gift for creativity. Whether she was beautifully decorating cakes at Thurman’s Food Factory or expressing her artistry through her work with her nail clients, Kelly brought joy to others through her talents. She cherished her clients not only for their business, but for their stories and the friendships she built with them over the years.
Kelly had a deep love for music and adventure. She was a devoted fan of Thirty Seconds to Mars and never passed up the opportunity to attend a concert. She also had a special place in her heart for Disney and was always ready to plan a trip to Disney World. Those vacations brought her immense happiness and created memories she treasured.
Her greatest love, however, was her animals—Cersei, Momma, Raven, and Merlin. They were truly her world, and she adored them beyond measure.
Kelly is survived by her uncle, Frankie Accardo of Brookhaven, Mississippi; brother, Joey David Accardo of West Monroe, Louisiana; niece, Sonya Accardo of Humble, Texas; nephews, Sidney Phillip Accardo III of West Monroe, Louisiana, Christopher Accardo (Meranda) of Houston, Texas, Shawn Accardo (Stacey) of Pineville, Louisiana, Benjamin “B.J.” Accardo (Erin) of Slidell, Louisiana, Jesus “Jesse” Garcia (Aubrey) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Edward Rutherford (Jessica) of Houston, Texas, Phillip Rowell (Rachel) of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Kyle Accardo of Brighton, Colorado; and god-daughter, Sabrina Britt Harvey. She is also survived by numerous cousins, many great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
Kelly was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Madonna Accardo Escobar; brothers, William Paul Accardo and Sidney Phillip Accardo, Jr.; and nephew, Jason Paul Accardo.
To know Kelly was to love her. She had a vibrant spirit, a generous heart, and a way of making everyone feel special. She was everyone’s favorite!
