Funeral services celebrating the life of Kenneth Ray Chilton, 74, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 7, 2024, at Apostolic Restoration Church, with Rev. Nathan Thornton officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Luna Methodist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Apostolic Restoration Church.

 

Kenny was born on July 11, 1949, in Wisner, Louisiana. He passed from this life on May 29, 2024, in Iowa City, Iowa. He left this earth doing two things he loved the most, traveling and going to pray for someone in need of a miracle. He was a very passionate and longtime member of the Apostolic Restoration Church, he had a great love for people. He lived to share his three Step Abuse program with all who would listen. He enjoyed traveling with his “Strange” in-laws, but nothing could match his love for his children and grandchildren. Before retirement, he worked as a Plant Operator for General Motors, Inc for thirty-four years.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Chloe Marie Bass; father, Howard O. Chilton; father-in-law, E.J. Strange; and mother-in-law, Freda Strange.

 

Kenny is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Mrs. Janice S.   Chilton; sister, Pat Nolan and her husband, Ronnie; children, Jay Chilton and his wife, Penny, Jeremy Chilton and his wife, Bridgette, Janie C. Allen and her husband, Matt, and Phylicia Oswalt and her husband, Mason; grandchildren, Leslie Vallery and her husband, Blake, Sawyer Chilton and his wife, Averie, Macey Wiley and her husband, Kyle, Ethan Chilton, Madison Sanders, Tate Allen and his wife, Shelby, Spencer Allen and his wife, Cheyenne, Trever Frasier, and McKenzie Morgan; seven great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

The pallbearers will be Todd Balance, Nicki Kerrigan, Chuck Strange, Tracy Strange, Shane Balance, Rodney Kerrigan, Caleb Franks, and Josh Kerrigan. The honorary pallbearers will be his nieces.

 

Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Restoration Church Outreach.
