Obituary

Kenneth John Robinson, IlI, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a steady and kind presence in the lives of all who knew him, passed away peacefully June 1, at the age of 83.

Johnny shared more than six decades of marriage with his high-school sweetheart, Phyllis. Their 60 plus years together were a testament to enduring love, strength, and commitment in sickness and in health. Johnny was a wonderful caregiver for Phyllis in her later years and an outstanding example his three sons could emulate one day.

He was a proud and devoted father to his three boys, cherished hunting, fishing, coaching their baseball teams when they were younger and supporting and guiding them throughout their lives. He also loved and supported each of his eight grandchildren. After his retirement from Delta Airlines, where he made life-long friendships with many of his coworkers, his top priority for he and Phyllis became their grandchildren. They had unconditional love for each one of them, making a huge positive impact in their lives. They will carry on their memory in their hearts forever.

Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Robinson, his parents, Kenneth and Hazel Robinson, his sister Bobby Gayle and grandchildren, Brooks Owen Robinson and Christopher Spence Robinson.

He is survived by his three sons; Kenny Robinson (Lisa), Tommy Robinson (Dee) and Chris Robinson (Kelly), and eight grandchildren; Holly Rachal (Shane), T-John Robinson (Ted), Mitch Robinson (Jennifer), Jana Tuma (Scott), Dr. Rachel MacGregor (Ryan), Emma Robinson, Cooper Robinson, Luke Robinson. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; Bryan Rachal, Vivian Rachal, Clark Tuma, Simon Tuma, Evelyn MacGregor, Camille MacGregor, Parker Robinson, and Archer Robinson, along with very special sister in laws, brother in laws, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Jim Brooks, George Cooper, Rodney Cooper, Stan Morgan, Doug Self, John Tubre.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ronnie Cupit, John Tannehill.

The family is grateful for Johnny’s loyal friends and caregivers.

“I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge shall give me at that day: not to me only, but to all those who love his appearing.
