Kevin Blane Carpenter, 65, of Chatham, Louisiana, was born on September 6, 1960, Monroe, Louisiana to proud parents, Hal and Betty Carpenter and passed away on July 2, 2026.

Kevin lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and the outdoors. An avid hunter, fisherman, and devoted LSU fan, he found joy in the simple rhythms of nature and the excitement of game day. After more than a decade of dedicated service in the pipeline industry, he retired from his role as a welding inspector, proud of the work he accomplished and the people he worked alongside.

In his free time, Kevin could often be found in the woods, in the yard, or in front of a good game, always happiest when he was moving, building, or cheering.

He is preceded in death by his father, Hal Carpenter. He is survived by his mother, Betty Carpenter Moore; his son, John Cody Carpenter; his daughter, Kristin Bailey Carpenter; his brother, Jeff Carpenter (Cris); and several nieces and nephews.

Kevin was loved by many and will be missed immensely.

A private family graveside service will be held at Caney Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials in honor of Kevin’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
